I know this forum isn’t about music so I’d like to apologize for this off-topic.
The thing is that my understanding of spoken, or sang, English is very poor so I use to look on the net for lyrics of the songs I like. But there is a song ‘Work Song’ (O.Brown - N.Adderley) that ,as much as I try, I cannot find.
Does anybody know those lyrics?. I’d be happy reading at least the hook “working working but I still ... ... for a go?”.
This song, also ‘Sixteen tons’ and several others, was adapted and sang by Spanish artists -this one was sang by Raphael, who now lives in Miami- of the sixties but the Spanish lyrics had nothing to do with the original. I’ve got it performed by Nina Simone and I love it.

I am reluctant to post song lyrics for copyright reasons, but the hook you mentioned is "but still got so terribly far to go".

Have a look at <http://www.boscarol.com/nina/> for a comprehensive listing of all her music. And everything else you might want to know about this great singer.

Thank you Lusy.
As you can see I didn’t have a clue about this hook.
It’s amazing how easy is to break the law without knowing it!. I thought that posting some lyrics was a most innocent thing but your message has made me remember that some web sites have had problems for this reason.
I wouldn’t like seeing Anu or you ‘five years in a chain gang’.
