Say what?! This was a lead-in to an on-line article today, which further into it "explains": The illness Is called friggatriskaidekaphobia. (We couldn’t make that up.)

Thanks to tsuwm for getting me to learn this word--the real one, that is.

Not quite. I just prefer the sound of it. No accounting for taste. It was also the first term for it I ran across. It is nice to have polysyllabic synonyms, though.
