I just discovered that Quinion covered this topic with the word Nihilartikel shortly after our original thread.

p.s. - I read elsewhere that esquivalience was inserted specifically to foil copying of the included CD-ROM. I don't know if this means it isn't in the b&m version. does anyone actually have the NOAD to hand?
