..and weren't we just.

did you know that Dr Pepper predates Coca-Cola? (the full-stop after Dr was dropped during the 50s for stylistic reasons.) the drink is sometimes bottled under contract by Coca-Cola or Pepsi bottlers, but in many regions Coke bottlers make Mr. Pibb instead.

this leads me to ask, has anyone ever done a Dr Pepper/Mr. Pibb taste test?

Officially? No. But, I prefer Mr Pibb from the fountain. It's not as fizzy, not as sweet. I don't like Dr Pepper from the bottle or can, as it is highly carbonated.

They both taste like cough medicine to me.

Dr Pepper is to me harsher than Mr Pibb, so I prefer Pibb, but I'll go for a cherry coke anyway...

I've never heard of Mr. Pibb but then I've never tasted Dr Pepper either.
On another soda subject, I learned recently why I like ginger ale at home but not in restaurants. Most places don't bother to stock it, they give you 7Up with a tiny shot of Coke/Pepsi to make it the right colour.

I've never heard of Mr. Pidd either. Dr Pepper I've heard of (on U.S. television) but have never tasted.

Onliest way to drink Dr Pepper is you pour a small bag of peanuts into it.

I like Dr Pepper and Mr Pibb OK, but I've never done a side-by-side taste test.

And if it ain't Vernor's, it ain't ginger ale.

Jackie made me do it! And I thank you, my friend. [blowing kiss e]

Canada Dry, the other brands are too sweet.
