this word was touched on in passing a few years ago, and I wwftd it (how's that for verbing a noun?) with no citations as follows:

the worthless word for the day is: anagapesis

rare {so rare I have no etymology or citations}
[prob. from Gk agapé, love] /an eh gap EE sis/
a loss of feelings for one formerly loved

I'd still give a virtual sawbuck to find it used in the wild.
(it can be found on a raft of hard-word lists.)

A sad thing, tsuwm.
I think this needs some anagogics of old anaglyptics.

HeyHo! I found one. Cryptic, but very much alive!
Quote:

Could I have a virtual Starbucks in stead of a sawbuck?

and there's this..

To avoid this and other cliches, it is better to tell one's ex-to-be that one has been stricken with anagapesis—then get the hell out of there before he or she reaches for a dictionary.

pardon me while I slip off to have myself a virtual Starbucks.

Now where's the generousity in this? I posted first! The weak and expensive but warm anyway coffee is mine! I think you should bring one down from your cold mountain pass.

Apologetic Analeptic poem for tsuwm:

A Sort of a Song

Let the snake(me)wait under
his weed
and the writing
be of words, slow and quick, sharp
to strike, quiet to wait,
sleepless

- through metafor to reconcile ....
