A friend of mine inadvertently coined a wonderful new term when she wrote me about her holiday activities. She's in the midst of a massive organization of all her "stuff" & said it's a major "clearning" job - a portmanteau of cleaning & clearing. It'll find a lot of use in my vocabulary.

I like it. Once I do some serious clearning of the garage today, I'll take all that old horse tack out to the sharn.

For what it's worth, which however might not be much at all, I agree also

I'll do my best. But, having no background in lexicology, I'd feel like such a phoncoinist.

I bet my wife; before months' end, I could get the Gratetsuwm to use her word 'sharn' in a sentence.
That was way too easy.
I think I'll have my breakfast- in- bed prize out in the sharn with Elzibar's Magnum, Buttermilk, and Hokey................. our new rooster. Wiki, Wiki, Wiki!!

not necessarily, it's just that I figured most people don't have a chair behind their computer.

Is it possible your friend's daughter and mine attend the same school? I just received an email invitation inviting parents/ students for help in a massive "clearning" in a neighboring community.
