I built a structure on our property to house two horses and a six month supply of hay. Since it was bigger than a shed but smaller than a barn, my wife called it a "sharn".

Did she coin a new word?

welcome, Blue!

well, sharn is better than "bed", in this case, I suppose.

yes. It's a lean-to shed. And my structure also has a lean-to. But it is also warm and comfy and the inside walls are lined with native wood. In other words, it's just so damn cute. That's why Jill called it a "sharn".

That is because he(she) is beside a hideous lean-to. A shed at best. A sharn is warm and welcoming. Bigger than a shed. Smaller than a barn. Everyone must build a sharn.
Listen folks, I am making a new word. Now, we must start small.
Is "sharn" small enough? 'cain't find it in Webster. 'Cain't find it in Oxford. "Caint find it in Wikepediadom.
Get on the "SHARN" bandwagon and give my lovely wife, Jill, her due.
Build an outhouse and call it a "SHARN" goshdarnit and by criminy.
