The February issue of Smithsonian Magazine had several Letters To The Editor concerning the January issue story about Anu and AWARD.

Karen James of Issaquah, Washington, has decided that March 4 should be NATIONAL PUN DAY because its name is one!
Steven D. Price of New York,NY, wrote saying mondegreen (mishearing a word or phrase) was the inspiration of humorist and columnist Sylvia Wright. In a 1950s column she said that when she heard the verse
"They have slain the Earl of Moray
And laid him on the green.."
from the Scots "The Bonnie Earl of Moray" she thought the lines described a double tragedy :
"They have slain the Earl Amurray
And Lady Mondegreen."
Then, English teacher Monica Fortune Hatch of Nashville Illinois, offered her favorite mondegreen written by a student who described a rather uppity self-impressed young lady as "a real pre-Madonna."
John Kirkpatrick of Park Forest Illinois sent in his favorite : "Lead us not into Penn Station."
Paul A. Peeples of Cary, North Carolina wrote about hearing someone talk about music by "the lonliest monk" misreferring to musician Thelonious Monk.
and finally, Barry Schwartz of East Meadow New York, wrote a
that the typing test "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog's back" is long at 41 letters and can be shortened to "The quick brown fox jumps over lazy dogs."

To give you a taste, it starts thusly :
