Maybe it takes scuba diving to make a Republican come up with such humor.

For the record, 'algorithm' is a frequently used term in scuba circles to discuss rules by which Nitrogen off-gassing (desaturation of tissues) is calculated.

I had a few days at work recently when every single task got peppered and perforated by paranthetic sub-clauses (Christmas is really coming early now!) In the midst of the madness, someone mailed me a twist on the 'beach' saying which made me chuckle:
