...leading to an ASCII-art revival? Some of the examples look harder to generate than the original English lettering!

I so totally don't understand what's going on here.

Duh! The point isn't to be easy to generate; it's to be incomprehensible.

What the article doesn't mention is the scorn heaped on wannabes who use l33t. One of the surest ways to get viciously flamed in Usenet is to use leet - it's seen as a pathetic attempt to be kewl.

leet = gleet look that one up at http://hdd.rox.com/?entry=gleet

mebbe Jazzo

Don't count on it. I've never used it, nor has anyone I know. Had I not jumped onto this board two and a half years ago, I might have ended up going off into that world. Might have taught myself Flash too and I'd be in graphic design now instead of architecture . . .

So when you create your "Parthenon", Jazzo, be sure to inscribe AWAD 2000 on the cornerstone in tribute!

And with a statue of the Great Anu inside of course.

Yeahbut®, careful about those statues, Jazzo...they have a way of making-their-way to the British Isles dubbed Elgin. oh-oh, did I just open up a can of worms?

>can of worms?

Nope, but it is the final, clinching proof that you've lost your marbles.
