Where I bean - 04/03/10 07:37 PM
Greetings, friends!
In an attempt to escape the daily grind, I booked an espresso flight to Java. I thought I'd stay at the Maxwell House, but they wanted too many Starbucks per night.
Still feeling perky, I hung out at the beach reading the French Press until I roasted. Now feeling rather bold, I made instant friends with the Hills Brothers and a local gal named Sanka.
We climbed a Green Mountain, but the height made me jittery.
So we returned to barhop between the Cafe Americano and the Nescafe, and met new friends: Bailey, Kahlua and Tia Maria. Later that evening we all enjoyed listening to Bach's Coffee Cantata (except for one Turkish fellow who turned out to be a drip).
Next day, however, news filtered in of trouble brewing with some Columbian imports. After hearing some shots, I took Seattle's Best flight back to the Pacific Northwest.
Glad to be home with Mr Coffee (Peet's a great guy!) and our cat Mocha.
Well, folks, that's the latest buzz.
