gorevan - related to weaving? - 01/18/01 05:04 PM
Hello,
I've been asked for a definition of a word, and it is not in the OED or Random House Unabridged dictionary.
The word is "gorevan", and it is used in "A Tinker's Damn" by David Wimberley, c2000 referring to a woman's hair... 'She was plain of face. But she had a gorevan fall of hair.'
The only reference I can find is the name of 'Gorevan' in Iran known for it's carpets. Has anyone heard of this term before and know anything more about it?
Sincerely,
Clare Murphy
