I'd like to help you (in all seriousness) but neither 'grenola' nor 'stough' (as spelled) show up in any dictionary I can access. However "granola" is available on-line and you could help yourself to a number of available *meanings.

Grenola is a blend of bird food, squirrel food, and horse feed, variously salted and sweetened.

Ha! wwh! I'm with you on this one. And heavy on the horse feed. It also breaks your jaw, but that could be good if you need to increase your ruminating time.

I judged not, my dearest CC, yet I felt ill-equipped to *transliterate "stough"... (any ideas?)

...'grenola', however, was within my acceptable *risk factors. [dragging you to the couch and fanning-e]

I'm right shocken ta me core, I'll tell ye. I asks a genwine question on behaff of a frend in need and this is the abuse I get.

I'll have ye know that not only have I been a member hear fer well over a full year and a half now, but also ta boot, I've allready reeched Membership statas and is well on the way ta the next plain. I've being an exemplimpey addition ta this site but as soon as I suffer the missfortune of maken one (1) loucy spellen misstake (it was a typen error actually FYI) I get lambasted, riddiculed and humilliated be me so called wordy peers.

So the correct spellen of the word is grinola - big deal. A box of grinola ta be persise and I'm off now ta goggle it meself - somethin I shoulda done in the furst place - but in me good little heart, I only wanted ta give one of ye lot a chance ta shine.

Howye fokes

Ye got me so upset there didn't I do another typen error. The word is granola.

Accorden ta me very wordy Tedasaurus it's a mixture typically of rolled oats and various added ingredients eg brown sugar, raisins, coconut, and nuts and usually eaten for breakfast or as a snack. It was turnen out ta be a bit of a cereal, allright.

Of course, I'd gessed that meself, but me frend wouldn't beileve me. Another query answered be GTed and his cracked team.

picken ye up on that pint.

Now, what pint would that be Gran' Touring Bear? The ones we shall sip opposite each other at the Emerald WordaPalooza?
(Maybe it should be re-named the "Black and White WaP" )

- Hey!! I hope that Locksie ain't goin' to go round trying our pints of G until she finds one she likes!

I hope ye don't mind me picken ye up on that pint.

If this is the local lingo for "the next round's on me" I doubt anyone'd mind!

But...but...Locksie is not invited, right GTed?[hands on hips-e]

Posted By: RhubarbCommando Re: Genwine question from GTed - 03/11/03 01:08 PM
Uh-uh!! I done invite her me own sef, connie!

What I reckons is, she is going to be working so hard finding out what is the right size, heat and softness for her needs/taste that the Gt Bear will be alone in our firmament - and will need someone to look after him.

And Rubrick and I will be there to stop you kids from squabbling over who plays with which soft toy! (Just sieff we aren't)

Granola. Reminds me of the kiwi, which eats roots, shoots and leaves ...
