I need help for my thesis dedication....I'm Italian but it should be written in english....

something like:

"To all those without whom this thesis might not have been written,
and to all my English teachers and professors, from past and present,
in great appreciation for their inspiration and passion for knowledge".

What do you think???
maybe the second line needs to be re-organized.....

thank you

Only thing I'd change is take out that from:

... to all my English teachers and professors, past and present ...

My first impression was that the first line, to me, might be better phrased as "To all those without whose support this thesis might never have been written..."

This is only my personal opinion, and you may wish to see what comments others may make about it. I also agree about "from", although you could also replace it with "both". Good luck to you!

This is not an improvement ... just an alternative:

"With great appreciation to all my present and former English teachers and professors, and all those who were indispensable to the writing of this thesis, for their passion for knowledge and inspiration."

Twosleepy's suggestion about "support" is pretty good but I think saying "both" is unnecessary.

I'm addressing the second line only. My first reaction was that "from past and present" was unnecessarily redundant. However, on further reflection, I think the phrase should be retained but located differently:

". . . and to all my past and present English teachers and professors . . ."
