Please help me with the word that means sticking a knife into someone and twisting it. I am sure I have seen it here before.
Thanks.

are you thinking of back-stabbers and double-crossers, or something more general?

Not that it answers the OQ, but I really like that word thwittle. It'd've been a good Hogwash word.

Makes me think of the sound of icicles falling down at a sudden thaw.
But it's not a dictionary word.

Something more general that literally means sticking in a knife and twisting.

Are there many words that combine two actions in one single word? I try to think of one but can't find one.

Well, it's a bit less specific on the twisting, but would certainly have to involve twisting, maybe eviscerate?
I can think of some other phrases, such as "rubbing salt into a wound", (which speaks to the social context) but not single words.

It's what's with jokes, I only understand them a week later.
Furthermore I am of opinion© that the first post question here
is a little bit twisted.
