Brain glue is actually a wordworking glue used by some woodworkers, and has a longer open time than does hide glue, another traditional glue used well into the 20th century until replaced by aliphatic resins (common yellow woodworkers glue. It withstands heat better because of the firing of the synapses; because when the open time ends it sets instantly, this phenomenon is known to most old time woodworkers as jumping to a conclusion. Some woodworkers believe that using brain glue made from female brains work better because the glue with the XY chromosome often changes its mind about sticking to a job, a defect no found with the XX chromosome.
