Does anyone know the word for "fear of hair?" I'm guessing it is something like pelicuphobia but I'm not sure.

hi john; this is the sort of thing one is not likely to "know", but is rather more likely to GoogleŽ:
chaetophobia or trichophobia or plalacrophobia (going bald) or trichopathophobia (hair disease)

Having just seen a program on JoJo the Dog-Faced Boy's disorder of hypertrichosis (too much hair osis), I'm going to guess trichophobia.

Welcome, John. Why do you ask?

Thank you!

I was curious because a friend of mine who has a fondness for hair (would that be trichophilia?) pointed me to the following website with a mix of bemusement and disdain: http://noscruf.org/.

It occurred to me that, though perhaps ostensibly tongue-in-cheek, the message the creators of the site were intending to present contained a fair amount of the quasi-liberal feminist misandry that so cheapens the anti-sexist movement and so was ripe for a little bit of ribbing.

Perhaps the true slogan of the noscruff "movement" should be; "Trichophobics Unite!"

Good explanation. Thanks for it. Try this:

"Chaetophobia - Fear of hair."

Analopeciaphobia (fear of not being bald)? The spelling may be a bit flaky.
