Had read Satyajit Ray's short story on this word. Found it absolutely fascinating until I met a guy in my class who has this obsession.
Without wonder I found my pens and box of paints gone the next day.

Your post made me go back to the e-mail, and I noticed this: [From Greek klepto-, from kleptes (thief) + -mania (madness).]

I know there are a lot of -phobia words. Are there any other -maniac words, does anybody know?
