Back in the '50s or early '60s, there was a line of "Misses" clothing intended for teenagers called "Sue Brett". It may have been a Sears or Wards catalog line. I thought it was a clever play on words, but none of my friends 'got it'>

Welcome, lois. Em...I'm afraid I don't get it, either, though I was around, then. What is (a?) soubrette, please?
Never mind--just checked my W's A D all the way back to Monday. Sorry--we've been having a family crisis this week.
Was this line a deliberate homophone, do you know?
