As I put my upper partial in place this morning, I was reminded that it belongs to the very large group of devices now available to replace body parts or functions.
Up to and including 'Bionic Man'.
and I heard someone the other day refer to their hair piece as a "cranial prosthesis".
Well, you know what they say, "Hair today, gone tommorow!"
prosthetist, prostheses
always fun words to pronounce correctly, the more you think about the pronunciation the harder it gets.
I just looked up the pronunciations, wondering whether I was pronouncing them correctly, and noticed in MW that there are two somewhat different pronunciations of prosthesis. The one with the accent on the first syllable was new to me.
Anyway, it would be fun to read here some tongue-twisters working prosthesis, prosthetics, and prosthetist...
Our host's prosthetist's list of prosthetics theses suggests best prostheses hypotheses.
