Displaying characteristics of the father.
My wife delivered a woman, and immediately took the baby
to show it to the mother, who was still groggy from the anaesthetic, and asked her: "Who does it look like?"
"It's got its mother's features but its father's fixtures."

Dear of troy: I deplore any reluctance to repeat topics discussed months ago. The word "limn" has a pleasing poetic quality. Particularly when trouble is taken to make the "n" faintly audible. I am unable to guess how "patroclinous" reminded you of it. Post away, please.

Limn does imply a quill rather than a Bic doesn't it.
