I see that this forum invites me to waffle on about words one has coined.
My humble submission is 'pendant'.
I defined this additional meaning of the existing word, in 2006, as:Quote:Pendant, n. One who, by correcting others, gives himself (or herself) just enough rope by which to hang.
I'm especially fond of the collision of my definition with the older one: pedants (sic) can often be found hanging around. They can be shiny, sparkly, enhancing the conversation: or they can be dull, grimy, and objectionable. As with many things, their appearance can be modified by one's own perception.
