I love to read, and I also enjoy watching television. And while I agree that Americans, in general, live a life style that is too sedentary to be healthy, how is reading any less sedentary than watching television? While the weather is improving around the nation, it would make more sense to me that people replace their television watching time with more physical activities or by spending more quality time with their children.

Welcome K-Man I used to climb a tree and balance laying on a branch to read when I was a kid. Does that count as non-sedentary reading? (The cord was too short to take the TV up with me)
