Mencken gives US "trolley car" as equivalent of UK "tramcar".
The "trolley" is the device that used to lift up to contact overhead power cables. I wonder if the same device is found
on "tramcars".

What do you over that side call what we call trolleys? Do you call them trolleys as well?

Imagine a small table with wheels at the end of the legs and a handle so that it can be pushed. Often used for delivering prepared meals or drinks from a central point to different places.

depends on the price.. new modern ones are sometimes called tea carts. Moreoften they are fitted to hold stem wear(it hangs under main tray) and wine bottles (on the undershelf), and have a small basket at one end for cork screws and are called wine bars.

expensive antique ones are still called tea trolleys

folding ones (2 shelved, casters, and small handrail) and sometimes just called serving carts.
