Bill, I'd guess anyone from the South would know what souse meat is. I've seen it made and it's a fascinating process carried out with TLC. I've had souse and, for those of us who are not squeamish in our tastes, it's actually pretty good.

So you think the Skeezix and the Pipsissewa had a good reason to want to eat
Uncle Wiggley"s souse? I wonder if any kids today read those stories.
I liked the Uncle Remus stories far better.
My promblem with Netscape mail was not a full mailbox. I had been
deleting them, but without my knowing it, they were going into a trash box.
That's what was full. I love error messates that are errors. The only reason I'm
using the new address is that Yahoo fouled up my other address, and only
error message I get is I haven't entered by identity, which is not so. Bastards.
You should see the form they want me to fill out. Like income tax.

We had an Uncle Wiggley game, which was a particular favorite for its clever sayings on the cards.
The Pipsissewa looked like a giant, scary squid, didn't it?

my children had 2 Uncle Wiggley books, given to them by a friend of their father's, i never much liked them, but my son did, he now reads them to his daughter.
