I want to locate examples of text dividers, such as you see in older books: embellished horizontal lines or devices that separate sections of the book within chapters or mark the chapters themselves. But I don't know the word for such things, so can't Google them.

Can you help me name these beautiful typographical devices?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure this has been asked/answered here before. I'm racking[sic] my brain...

The typographic ornaments themselves are sometimes called dingbats, and the flower-shaped ones are fleurons. You might try asking on a typography forum or blog.
