I just came across something interesting. There are some words in English, in which, if we move the first Letter to the end of the word and read backwards,it would spell out the same
For Example,
Dresser
If we move D to the end and read backwards
It still spells out the same
Another example is
Uneven
Is there any generic term for such words?

Hmmm, don't know the name but I'll bet some folks here will have fun with the concept.
well, it's a letter plus a palindrome..

-joe (we could call it a banana) friday
But i thought a "BananA word" is one that ends with the letter that comes alphabetically before the one with which it starts. BANDANNA could be another example...which is a Banana word but not a "one plus palindrome"
I've never heard of "banana words", but when my younger brother was learning to talk, we actually tape recorded him saying "banana" because it left us in stitches when he didn't know when to stop, and he ended up saying "bananananana"... guess you had to be there.... ;0)

My younger brother did the same with spaghetti: etti, etti, etti, etti.

There was an advertising campaign here a few years ago (and still current I think) from the banana growers with a ditty that went "Ba-na-na-na-na-naaa, make those bodies sing..."
Banana song
