What is the name of the drug that is administered intravenously to execute the death penalty?

And what is the kind of gas that is used in the gas chamber?

Execution by gas has been accomplished by mixing acid with sodium cyanide. HCN kills
by prenenting oxygen transport in blood. It is a stupid choice. Carbon monoxide would
be much more humane. Remember how often it kills people because they cannot detect it.

As for lethat injection:
Sodium Thiopental causes unconsciousness.
Pancuronium Bromide stops respiration.
Potassium Chloride stops heart.

I think these days they mostly use potassium chloride (KCl) to stop the heart, but they give a barbiturate first so there is no discomfort though how they know there's no discomfort escapes me

No discomfort? What a very, very odd phrase. No discomfort.

Why, you know, that's an out and out lie, when you think about it:

NO

NO

NO

DISCOMFORT

There is not way on God's Green Earth, under the circumstances, that could be a true statement. Sheesh.

Dear Ww: it seems to be an improvement over the concoction given Socrates
by the oh-so-civilized Greeks.

In it. Perhaps. But not in the preceding moments to this most horrible, barbaric closing of the door.

WW: you did read the white lettering, I hope. I guess I should have added a "sardonic-e"

Hey, Wolfaholic! I wasn't sheeshing you; I was sheeshing the they in your white. I guess I needed to make my sheesh reference clear.

Sorry 'bout my exasperation expressed above. It definitely wasn't pointed at you!

Best regards,
WW
