From today's newspaper: "The movie's victories [at the Oscar awards] culminated a month-long campaign."

I'm completely unfamiliar with the use of culminate as a transitive verb, but on LIU I do find it approved in the dictionary. Are others familiar with that usage?

Keiva: you started a flamewar, and would not quit.
You were banned, and got back only by threat of
a kawsuit, which Wordsmith could not afford.
You are not welcome to post in AWADtalk.

Dear Alex: I try to be a man of few words. Carefully chosen for maximum intelligibility.
Curt, clear, complete. (TIME's old motto)

Keiva is unwelcome here.
