i keep logging on. and then, i leave. the experience is like having as tooth wrench from your mouth.. pain is, now hours later, dull and aching.. and just a your tongue, traces the contures, of your mouth, and comes again, again to the void, and each touch is agony, and yet again, the tongue searched out the spot, hoping, against hope, that this time, things will be different..
but i keep coming back, because there is some comfort here.
i think, now, all the world realises, we are all vunerable. it is not muslims fanatics, or american right wing fananatic, it is a case of the civilized world, against the forces of anarchy and evil, what ever they call them selves.
yes, ny and washington were the targets, this time, and if anything, those who have done this have dammed them selves and their cause. the good people of world, who, have stood by, and let this happen, all to many americans, who have looked at terrorism and violence, and thought, well, its not here, its not part of our lives, who thought, we offer freedom, and civility to all, it is free to all who come.. surely, no one could serious reject that, now we all realize, we must stand and fight. not guns and missiles, not as much an armed retailiation, as a fundimental movement, to civility.. the world is to small to have destructive elements supported.. no one is safe, it is all to clear from this attach. unless, we all, with law, and civility, make law and civility the way of the world. we must do it here in US, with those, who, do use their freedom, to freely object and work for change; but who abuse freedom, and use violence.
every one on here, all voices, from all countries, and all agree, the action yesterday was terror, and evil. all of us, must act to contain the evil. in our own hearts, in our families, in our communities, in our governments.
we must not stand idly by, nor can we let our response be dictated by those who have so injured us. any response must be lawful, just and reasoned.. we can not cure this wrong by acting as those who have wronged us have acted.
i have been taught not to repay violence with violence-- but i was never taught that you must not act in the face of evil. we have the ability, in hearts, and in our heads, to act, and not let this violence that had fallen down us, to make us violent. there are many ways, we can act to end violence..
all of you have been such a comfort, all of your love and concern is a balm to an open wound..
i still am in shock, and have trouble sitting quietly, as i must do to read your words and to respond to them. but, i thank you all for your thoughts, and prayers.
