This is like pouring cement over Obama - you're setting a president. AND leaving us to grapple with eight letters, of whch only one is a true vowel - the two, identical semi-vowels aren't a great gelp, either! [/grumpy rant]
So, I shall also abandon the customers' procrastes to present him, with Y ---> A

(Can we get back to normality now, please? My orderly, OCD mind can't cope with very much of this!) smile

Does one just pick any word in the above ten
to proceed??? One letter changes, two letter changes, skips,
additions?????? What is the current word, or maybe
it would be time to start Anagrams IX?

i had one double-switch for symphony, synonym, but it would probably been as dead-end-ish as my shopman seems (to me, at least). i wouldn't mind going back to 'rodent,' only because i'm kicking myself for missing what (i think) would have been a clever one ...

i thought about psycho- and morph- and several other variations on 'shopman,' but got essentially nowhere so far ... congrats ro UK's Rhubarb ..
