Bleu stranger Registered: 07/19/12 Posts: 1	I'm sure a lot of you may have noticed that many notable as well as obscure names for angels seem to end in -el. Is there a reason for this, perhaps something in the etymology or is that just how they are? Thanks. Edited by Bleu (07/19/12 04:43 PM)

Yes, because a common Semitic root for 'god, deity' is Hebrew 'el, Babylonian 'ilu, Arabic 'ilāh (whence 'allāh). _________________________ Ceci n'est pas un seing.
