I got a PM from Sparteye today:
Hi Jackie.

I have received bad medical information, and time and my health will soon preclude even further my participation in AWAD. Please pass on to the crew my regrets that work and life have minimized my interaction here for a while, and that I miss them and appreciation the terrific discussions of words and the universe we have had.

We miss you, Sweet Thing, and are hoping for a good outcome. [kiss]

We spoke a little about the wordsmith members. As you know, I don't frequent here as I used to... and as she has been around since wayback... we spoke more of "older" members, not us *young ones (lol).

I just talked to Sparteye, who said to tell you all she is doing as well as can be expected, and that that is good news. She may yet get back here at some point but right now usually doesn't have the energy; but she does think about "the gang".
They were able to take a short vacation over Thanksgiving, and are planning another one in a few weeks; she wants to make memories for her son.
