>>>Out with the I!

TREAT

I am a little confused about this game then.

If we can add or subtract to the quantity of letters, how is that anagramatical.* If we can add or subtract to the quantity of letters, isn't this really just listing words without art?

Not attacking, just asking. I think I may have misunderstood the point since I came late to the game.

* not sure if anagramatical is a word, but you know what I mean I'm sure.

The basic agreement is: the word gets changed by adding or substracting one letter and scramble it. (just adding an s for plural is pretty dull though sometimes the only way to get on). You can also just rehash without adding or substracting.

My eye wants to spell it anagrammatical... but I don't think it's a "real" word either; that's never stopped me! I love makin' up words! :0)

Another explanatory effort:

Using the existing word, make a new word. To do so, you may either

a) leave all the letters the same and anagram them, or

b) change one letter and anagram the result (or not, since the letters may already be in the correct order to form a new word,) or

C) add or delete one letter and either anagram the result or not, as in (b.)

These three are "or" choices - mutually exclusive - so only one may be applied per turn.

And (of course) stay tuned, because the rules could change at any time.

You forgot one, and it's a "must": do not repeat any previous entries. :0)

I wasn't specific enough about that, but yes: that's exactly what I meant by "make a new word."

...but who can remember EVERY word we've ever used? in 1049 posts or so...

Just anagramming isn't enough. (We invoked that a while back.) Something has to be changed besides the order. Add/insert a letter and arrange; or take out a letter and arrange; or, change a letter and arrange. (The identity arrangement is not embraced but is accepted.)
