it could be, but i do think its rude and insulting to suggest all female actors are whores. (or did i read it wrong,--does the bit of poesy suggest that all women are whores? )

who knows. but rude, insulting 'general statements' seem to be all the rage here at AWAD... i've been particapating less, (who wants to be regularly insulted?) and now i will read less.

no doubt, the statements will be labeled fun.. jokes, don't you get the joke?

Isn't that the way of mean, manipulative people? they insult, and them blame you for being insulted. they didn't mean harm.. no harm in making broad, slanderous statements.

what a great way to make half the human race feel 'welcomed' --just tell them how much fun they can have being insulted, or suggest that they have no sense of humor, (or maybe they are just too stupid to know a joke when they see one..) Yeah, that its...

go ahead remove it, but its clear, some posters here are just rude and insulting. they make this place less desirable with each word they post.

Dear Of Troy: Limericks have a long history of ribaldry. [Is that a word?] It's just nonsense that's all.

If there are any unsavory people in my limericks, Of Troy, it is the men who take advantage of women, or the women who take advantage of men.

I don't know if the legend of the "casting couch" is deserving of its reputation, Of Troy. Probably not. But the legend is as old as Hollywood Hills.

I think I first heard these "casting couch" jokes on the "Tonight" show with Johnny Carson. And Johnny was tame by today's standards [tame even by "prime time" standards today].

In any case, I certainly don't suggest that all men, or all women, are all alike, in Hollywood or anywhere else.

Sorry if you misunderstood my humor. I never use harsh sounding words like "whore", Of Troy. I don't think such words are humorous or witty.

The whole idea is to let the reader's imagination read between the lines. That's the whole fun of it.

I hope no-one takes me seriously, Of Troy. It's just nonsense, like slap-stick comedy.

In fact, it's just "Wordplay and Fun".

ASp said, I'm off to our alternative board. The scantness of postings suggests that others, for whatever reason, may also wish to look elsewhere.

You are welcome to take a look at our Wordcraft site and board. Just google wordcraft dictionary and you'll find us on top, with the home page just below. http://www.wordcraft.infopop.cc

You may also want to look at the list of boards *which ASp apparently has (http://wordsmith.org/board/showthreaded.pl?&Board=wordplay&Number=138901), and will, I hope, make available for you.

Thank you.

[Edited 23:13 to correct typo at *.]

Perhaps she will follow jheem's lead.

But, seriously, the world of words is big enough for all of us.

Few of us want to eat at the same restaurant all the time. It's nice to sample the menu at a different venue every now and again.

We hope you'll return and bring some of your cleverest Wordcrafters with you. :)

I know you guys have a collaborative relationship with OEDILF.com which has really taken off. Maybe you could invite some of those limerick magicians to post on Of Troy's new limerick thread. It would be a real treat. Maybe C J Strolin himself. That would be a real honor.

4 or 5 limericks a day
Is Strolin's output, they say.
My gosh, that’s a lot
He’s burning so hot
Perhaps he could toss one our way.
