yeah, funny.. sure, as we used to day to a mean bully who harped and harped, who had no sence of what was or wasn't funny--sure, about as funny as a rubber crutch in the cripple ward.

go ahead say it again.. yeah, sure funny.

boring is more like it.. boring, repeative, juvenile, funny to no one, not even you, and you know it, no matter how much you pretend otherwise.

you seem to post for 2 reason--one to hear the sound of your own voice.. your 'dialogs' with you filling a thread with all you alter egos posting one after another, with you agreeing and disagreeing with yourself are the work of pathetic sad rants of a man losing his mind, and these post are alternated with 'funny post' where you posts make sparp hostile digs at your imaginary enemies (and friends) --these are sad.(and you pretend they are funny.)

Hey, Of Troy, I'm trying to work with stand-ins. Give me a break.

It's hard to send-up a stand-in when the stand-up is sitting it out.

When Faldage gets back from sab-cat-ical, we'll have some fresh material -- from the original source.

Please stay tuned.

BTW these acronyms aren't literature, you know. I admit mine wasn't very funny, but, hey, check out some of the others.

I don't mean to be disrespectful, Of Troy, but you try and make "justkidding" sound funny.

You stupid, sad, pathetic excuse for a "man". I did not think I would ever be drawn to comment again on your tedious rants, but your psychotic fantasies are just too much to take. Faldage is not the other half of your imaginary double act, your legion of multiple personae are. I would tell you to go away and drool quietly in the corner, but I realise that the room you're in probably doesn't have any. For the sake of peace, and your own longterm well-being, may your quietus be quick in coming.

Looks like all the inner circle Carp have made an appearance.

All except one.

Can Faldage be far behind?

When he takes his rightful place at the head of the pack, it will feel just like it did when I arrived here for the first time as a "Stranger".

The pack was as disrespectful and bullying to newcomers then as it claims I am now to the Arbiter Fallacious.

But you are 5 or 6 [just as you were then, the very same 5 or 6] and I am only one.

Looks like the odds are pretty much even.

What do you hope to achieve from all of this, plutarch? Why are you being so personal in your attacks and why do you see the board as a place that takes sides (as you have pointed out above)? Is continuing in this strain going to make you or anyone or anything on this board better off? Isn't it just time to stop this vendetta you are maintaining so spuriously and call a halt to the childish, repetitive attacks, self-replies and nonsense and get down to either enjoying the board for what it is or else leaving it to those who do? I'm sure that you don't enjoy your time here for any positive reason and your actions are being solely interpreted as those of someone with a malicious and destructive intent.

Kindly stop sabotaging each and every thread because you dislike someone or everybody for whatever reason. If you can't do this then you should go somewhere else where you feel you better fit in and leave us to develop this site for what it was meant - words and word-development. I really can't understand why you are putting so much energy into producing all of these destructive posts when you could be creating positive ones here or elsewhere. Or perhaps you really do enjoy doing what you do. But that is neither entertaining, funny nor interesting and it is, in fact, quite boring and sad.

Just do us all (and you, in particular) a favour and stop. It's got to end sometime and now is as good a time as any.

Is that too much to ask? I really don't think so.

Coming from you, Rubrick, no.

You are obviously not a member of the "pack".

And you understand the power of sweet reason as an alternative to insults, threats and bullying.

Everything you recommend to me, I recommend in turn to the "pack".

There should not be one standard for a vulnerable "Stranger" or respectful dissenting individual of non-Carpal stature, and another standard for insider Carpals.

There should be one standard for all, period, and you have just made of yourself a worthy example -- and not just for me.

The one voice I cannot resist is the voice of reason.

I still sense a lot of hostility in your reply despite your liberal use of smileys which poorly veil your obvious ire.

Who is this "pack" to whom you refer? Who is this "stranger"? and what is this insider carpal and non-carpal stuff you refer to? And what bullying are you talking about? If by "pack" you mean members of this forum then I am a member of the pack. The term carpal tunnel is neither a title nor a privilege - it is simply a level reached by posting x amount of times and has been attained by several people here simply because of their regular posts over several years. I am an "addict". You are an "enthusiast". These titles are not reflective of either of us but of our donation of time and effort to the board. How you will refer to yourself when you yourself become a "carpal tunnel"? You too will have become "one of the pack" as a result.

And you are mistaken. I did not recommend anything to you. I asked why you persisted with your nonsense and asked that you stop. The power of sweet reason is useless unless the person to whom it is addressed is responsive.

You answered me that from me it was not too much to ask of you to stop what I asked you to stop. I take that to mean, if you are a man of your word, that you will comply with what I asked and that, if you choose to continue here, you will post rationally, decently and coherently.

Is that settled?

What's to "settle", Rubrick?

Everything you have recommended to me is reasonable, as I have said, not only for me, but also for the "pack".

That's what this is all about, Rubrick. Perhaps you are not familiar with the history of this matter.

No matter. Those who have a need to know, know well enough.

Have you not read what I wrote? You wrote that you did not think that is was too much to ask that you stop. I addressed you and no-one else so your answer I took to be that you woudl stop. That's what I mean by settle. It's very simple.

Everything you have recommended to me is reasonable, as I have said, not only for me, but also for the "pack".

Again, you are not reading what I wrote. I did not recommend anything to anyone. I asked you and you alone to stop and, if that is reasonable then I suggest that you take the course of reason and do as you said you would.

That's what this is all about, Rubrick. Perhaps you are not familiar with the history of this matter.

History? I read posts and threads and see you constantly destroying them with your self-referencing banter, childishness and nonsense. This isn't history. This is recent. You may have a problem with some of the people on this board but that is no reason to destroy it for the rest of us. Everytime you make a personal attack on this board it ruins it for the rest of us. Does that make you feel good? It certainly doesn't make anyone else happy. I've only seen this attitude from you. This thread is a perfect example of your behaviour where you have failed to get into the spirit of the fun of it and have, instead, resorted to cheap attacks which are impossible not to notice. YOU have got to stop. I don't notice anyone else continuing a vendetta.

No matter. Those who have a need to know, know well enough.

Are you blind to your own actions? Your stubborness and hostility are destroying this board for everyone. I ask you kindly again to stop your actions and to desist from any more personal attacks or malicious references. Note that I am asking YOU, plutarch, and no-one else. You say that I am the voice of reason. Is that voice to be echoed by you or are you simply going to continue in your belligerent vein?

I am asking YOU, plutarch, and no-one else

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, you have asked, Rubrick, and now for the 3rd time, I have agreed.

But, I have also said, and I do not need your blessing to say it: what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

I would not want to give anyone false hope that my commitment to reasonableness, which has always been my first choice, is unilateral.

If you want me to go over this again, then I will. But I think I have made myself clear enough to the few who have engendered the hostility to which you refer.

Since you are not one of those few, I have no reason to continue this with you.

Perhaps we can all have some peace around here now.

I feel no less entitled to it than you do.
