Loc: California AHD: "1. A psychotic disorder characterized by delusions of persecution with or without grandeur, often strenuously defended with apparent logic and reason. 2. Extreme, irrational distrust of others." < Gk para- 'beside' + noos 'mind'. Besides paranoia, there's also narapoia :- "That uneasy feeling that you are unintentionally following someone." And, finally metanoia :- Having gone beyond one's mind.

Loc: Worcester, MA If you're going to invoke paranoia and metanoia, what about orthonoia? (asked the chemist organically )

Sounds good to me. Do you wish to define it, too? Off hand, I'd said 'straight minded' or 'psychologically correct'.

QED. Yup. At least the ones capable of speech or signing. Besides, "I never metanoid I didn't like."
