To set this up for Non-USns: A precis of "Will and Grace" a popular sitcom.
It's about a gay guy, Will, and his best friend roommate, Grace, a straight gal. The sub-characters are thier chums : a rich gal, Karen and an outrageous gay, Jack.
Jack and Karen go to a Halloweeen gathering and Karen is adopted by a group of guys in drag. They want Karen to have a Drag Name. The criteria is the first pet you remember and the name of the street you grew up on. I don't recall her name BUT I am Rosebud Nesmith.
Who are you?

I don't get the sled reference; wow obviously watched Citizen Caine at an impressionable age!

I guess I would be Chessie Gainsborough - sounds classy!

Chessie was named for a cat that was the logo of the Chesapeake and Ohio RR

I feel this thread could contribute to Gift Horse's appeal.

(btw, when I first heard of this game, in college, the two combined were supposed to give you the name of a stripper)

1. Wow, Will and Grace is inflicted on most countries around the world which speak even a vague kind of English.

2. Elsie Crosby.

which sounds more like someone Scooby-doo would hang out with than a stripper/drag name.
(I was going to say a name from Leave It To Beaver but then we're back to strippers again

Tobias Ellesmere, sounds like a Victorian philanthropist.

Cheating a bit makes me Mango Bowdon which I like much better.

I always knew this games rules to be: first pet and mothers' maiden name, in which case I'd be Tobias New. My two childhood friends had the best ones I've ever heard, Betty Hynchcliff (male) and Tiger Cox (female).

That would make me Charlie McDermott ... and I don't think my Uncle Charles McDermott would have been too thrilled with that!

I must say that I have claim to an excellent drag name: Delila Montgomery . Sadly, I don't have the legs for it.

On that same note, I went to a costume party while in college, dressed as Joan Crawford. Wearing my 4-inch heels, I was an impressive figure at 6' 2".....and at the outset, several people thought I was a guy in drag.

And, if you count growing up to mean reach age 21, and first pet, the first one on my own:

Harley H.D.G. Davidson the 74th Camino Sin Nombre.

Or either, Birmingham Small Arms CSN or Pulcheria Ivanovna Tovstogubikha CSN or Lia Luachra CSN.
