Mav asked Faldage if he would "add a full stop after the quote marks with a quoted question?".

If you feel that espousing a rule requires you to attually® *take it to the extreme.


And as far as parenthetical expressions or footnotes go, if they make shorter an exposition that would otherwise require an explanatory paragraph to explain a point that is necessary for the argument but not directly to the point, then use them.
