>I haven't seen Titanic, yet...

Nor have I, and I don't intend doing so before Rumsfeld converts to Shi'a Islam.

Ah!...Ayatollah Rumsfeld has a certain ring to it!

Jackie and sjm: And I thought I was the last person alive who had not seen this particular blockbuster! It's good to be a part of something bigger!

Well, for all those who haven't seen Titanic, I don't want to ruin it for you...but the ship sinks.

I didn't see it either, why go to a movie when you already know the ending. I work with real life stories every day, when I pay for entertainment I want happy endings. If the adds read "Heart rending", "Thought provoking" or "Deeply insightful" you'll find me next door watching the old black and white comedies. My guilty pleasure ... science fiction - the bad, corny kind. If you can see the strings on the model space ships then I'm in the right theater.

Dear Zed - I am with you - Give me a good laugh and/or a happy ending every time.
It's good for you, according to my doctor and some recent studies ... seems a happy show lowers blood pressure and lets you get to sleep easily where the news or violent shows get you all roiled up and less likely to get restful sleep.
Looks like we have been ahead of the herd! Ain't we great ? ! ? !!

Well, I'll chime in here - I haven't seen Titanic either. Nor do I want to see it. Something "smarmy" or too cute about Leonardo...not that I'm necessarily against seeing/looking at cute guys! There are several of the "thought provoking" or serious movies that I haven't seen, as well. I keep thinking I should see them - but when I look for a movie to rent (or more often, borrow from the library), I always look for "mind candy" - comedy, light-hearted, no-brainers.
