Are word of the day services useful, if so, how many are there?

scads, but only a few are utile. :)

(try googling "word of the day", quotes included; or yahoo! search the same string)

LOL! ewe are awful

hey Michael, I sneaked a mention of your Worthless Word of the Day email service onto the Collins message board, so I foresee you can expect a deluge of almost 2 extra visitors shortly... ;)

Welcome, clonal-sheep - I know nothing about the American College Test, but certainly a lot of people find the various daily word services a useful spur to developing a wider or deeper understanding of language issues. And they're often fun :)

ACT is one of two tests(another is SAT)that is taken before an entrance into a college.

P.S. ACT is only taken in the U.S. - as its name reveals- so I am not surprised if some of you folks do not know what exactly ACT is.
