It has come to my attention that someone whom I won't name, but who is one of our New York City members and not of the male persuasion, has received a special-recognition award from her work, for her assistance immediately following Sept. 11th.
Congratulations, of ... er, whoever you are!
Huge congratulations from me to this person who is unidentified, and curiosity is killing the hell out of this cat. Who got the award? PM's welcomed.
Best regards with a toasting glass held high clink!,

A fitting and praiseworthy reversal of having "burned the topless towers of Ilium".
Felicidades, querida. I also raise my glass to launch...oops. Clink!

On the darkest night there are still the stars.
No doubt about it ... our precious gem is worth her troy weight in gold ...
Felicitations!
To her charity and nobility of spirit...a touching endeavor!
Who are we talking about here? I thought we had dozens of computer hel ... er, women, posting from New York.
Marvellous! Richly deserved I have no doubt. Those Greek women take the prize every time.
Congratulations on Trojan work.

Am I still mixing with the wrong peer group?Either that, or this is the first instance of the generation gap making me sound the more mature.

Twenty years ago I had a classmate named Annya (on-ya).
To start a conversation with her during lunchtime, we would say "Annya (pause) ya got some lasagna on ya"...
As an audiophile, it still makes me chuckle!
