I have managed to upload an "information" list about
Kentuckians to Max's (thank you) idrive. C.K., I want you to pay special attention to the last item on it.

Did this warrant a new thread?

Only if people reply to it

The more threads, even with teasing hidden meanings, and the more replies the more fun for all of us. And for me in particular, since the visiting nurse is still using my model airplane workbench.

Did this warrant a new thread?

Well, part of it is actually about language!
And I thought some people might get a kick out of it.
But I didn't want to get fussed at for making too long of a post, if I just copied the whole thang here.

I put it as an announcement, because I was thrilled that I had uploaded something--I'd never done it before. But I had the wind taken out of my sails almost immediately, by a message from sweet Max, that all I'd managed to upload was the title! He kindly did the real thing for me.

I shall endeavor to be more discerning in the future. Or better yet, send private to someone, and get them to post and take the heat...

I'm used to taking heat!

Dear Jackie: I know how you feel. So much to learn, and it keeps increasing. I started studying computers thirty years ago, but simply can't keep up with the bright young men.

I'm used to taking heat!

Thanks, Sweetie! Are you volunteering, then? (said the spider to the fly)

Anything for the crotchety... +[web weaving emoticon]

Errr, what?

Errr, what?

Shall I spell it out for you, she asked sweetly?

A.)go to Max's idrive account.
B.)download 'Kentuckians'.
C.)if nothing else, read the last item on the list, and...

you will realize that what I do to supper is not only
legitimate, it's legally sanctioned. I've always thought everyone did this, 'till I ran into a certain rebellious cap'n.

[persistent visions of Jackie advancing determinedly on a fry pan, tool belt around her waist and spanner firmly in hand, emoticon]

I do sympathise with the concept of "He needed killin'" being a legitimate defense. I have this little list ...

We'd hate to lose either of you, CapK & MadMax.

(I know I know... I just couldn't find anywhere else to post this! )

Hey, for the $200 million US the Russians have taken out in insurance, I would be very happy for them to park Mir on my garage!

You don't happen to have a 12-metre square air cushion with Taco Bell advertising all over it on the garage roof at the moment, do you? Ah, well, you'll find out in 4 hours and 19 minutes. How's your Russian? I expect their first words to you will be "We come in pieces", so start at that part of the phrase book.

"I Fall to Pieces".
