Front page of the Sports section of The Buffalo News on Thursday, January 3, 2002 reads:

"Donahoe clearly sounds vague on Rob returning" http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20020103/1031564.asp

I think the editor deserves an award for that headline!

Dear Angel: Maybe he couldn't get his head higher than the snow bank.

Oh, Angel, thanks for posting this!

Clearly Sounds Vague
Vaguely Sounds Clear
Sounds Vaguely Clear
Sounds Clearly Vague
Clear Vague Sounds!
Sound Clear Vagues!
Clear Sound Vagues!
Sound Vague Clears!
Soundly Clear Vagues...

...and those trip so easily over the tongue without much sense in 'em. Wonder what the anagram maker would do with 'em?

Best regards for stirring up those Linears with this one,
DoubleDub

SCANDAL OVER UGLY USE!

What's the problem here? Some people can be vague but in such a confusing way you can't tell if they are vague; others can be vague and you can tell right away. This Donahoe person seems to belong to the latter category.

dear dub (A beat of a drum; the sound of a drum when beaten)

[activate cross threading now...]

vagulate, vagulate, trance in the clearing!

Shouldn't that be Rob's returning?

Rob's returning

Clearly you are a little vague on the clarity of Mr. Donahoe's vagueness.
