To me the subject is explanatory but I have been severely criticized for posting a link with no comment. While the thread is largely concerned with a technical aspect of computing probably not of great interest to all of us, it also discusses trolling, which may in fact be; although if it isn't, the participant is cordially invited not to access it

evidently freethought isn't as free as it once was as it now requires registration and passwords and all that stuff -- or maybe 'twas always so and some of us saw the link originally via a fluke of some sort.

if there is something wordishly pertinent in a link, please just copy the pertinent part to a thread, and comment on it here.

Well I mused I'm not so sure about that. I thought I was saving space on the WS hard drive, while the two subjects discussed in the link might be somehow related. Furthermore the typical participant in WS might be interested in the other site

So fellas, did you react in the same way as eta, am I really such a bad person

the problem is we have no idea what the two subjects are. you could be linking to anything, and what if I don't want to go there? wastes my time.

I wouldn't want to do that so you are cordially invited to altogether ignore my posts
