\:D HaaH! \:D ROFFEL!
Once you get poetic you really get going, Jackie!
Minimal poetry or justy simply postmodern?

Oh, by the by, I've got that free download site, thanks!

Like many, we had Pachelbel's Canon in D played as we cut our wedding cake. For most Philistines like us, that is all he is remembered for, though it is the only Canon he ever wrote.

ROFFEL

A Dutch variant of ROFL, or just a new pronunciation? Like skiffy for sci-fi.
Posted By: BranShea Re: broodje op vloer lachende - 10/19/08 03:30 PM
Huh/??? "broodje op vloer lachende" /??? Hah! one more roffel.
Yes, that's how I pronounce it; at the same time as a Dutch word it means the rolling of drums.
But where did you get a " bread on the floor laughing? " Hah!
Posted By: zmjezhd Re: rollen op vloer lachende - 10/19/08 04:20 PM
ROFL == roll on the floor laughing
roffel == the above initialism as an acronym
broodje == little bread, (Dutch) roll, German Brötchen
Hoohah == the sound of one guy larffing
I seed her carried away roll ...

I'm sorry you have to spell it all out for me. I miss the basics of English apparently. The simple word "roll " never crossed my mind. And I mistook rofl for "roar of laughter".
My, isn't it poor after a good two years of almost daily practice. \:\(

I wouldn't sell yourself short, Brannie. Your command of English (as a second or third language) is quite good. My feeble jokes oftentimes are in need of such ancillary apparatus criticus—footnotes, commentary, and the like—which is detrimental to humor in general. Keep up the good job!
I'wasn't that dead serious. ( just fishing for a fine compliment) As long as Jackie writes poetry like that I'll rofl along for a while.

Good gracious--I didn't write that--it's part of an actual list I found.

"roar of laughter". Just as good!
very clever making every line rhyme.

Of course. I found the list too, but the sight of it all made me take go silly.

Referring to the semasiology thread,I posted this one on that one too. (with extension) I meant to put it here. As soon as a subject goes on parallel threads I loose sense of direction.
Neurological astigmatism?

when you Cackle out loud it expresses pure uninhibited glee, especially used when texting, IMing or blogging.

Close but no cigar. Chuckle Out Loud. Had I literally chuckled out loud it would have been LCOL.
