I have discovered that any posts placed on Loanwords from German will not show up until Anu Garg looks it over. This is the only spot I have seen this. Any guesses on why?

This has been discussed. All posts to Anu regarding this also fail to post. But you have started your own thread. Why don't you just fire away?

Jimthedog, at this point, I'm guessing that the thread was inadvertently designated as a monitored thread, and that Mr Garg is not inclined to spend his time correcting the designation. Since several people have tried to post on that thread, it seems that there is a discussion to be had. I suggest that you post your message on a new thread, (maybe called "Loanwords from German - the real thread", or something) and get things started for us.

P.S. My Dad used to have a terrific rough-coated collie named Jim. He was named after Jimmy Durante, as a consequence of his schnoz.

Well, I already asked Mr. Garg about it. He 'asen't said anything yet. I was sort of thinking, when I started this, that it was something to do with the role of Germany in World War 2, but I dispelled that idea as the war was before my parents were born. I did notice that post review is off for most stuff, but only because I was clicking on the wrong spot.
All our dogs were either rough collies or border collies. None of them were jims, though. "Were" is applied only to about 10 of the dogs, so don't think none live here anymore. You can tell that I've been around dogs all my life, can't you.
