Recently I heard an unfarmilar word from The Strawberry Roan.(Marty Robbins) I think he coined the word. HAs anyone else heard a coined word in a song or a book?
and I noticed an unfarmiliar word in The Strawberry Roan.
Please don't leave us hanging, jimthedogII, what was the mystery word? One of my favourite coined words from a book would have to be frumious, since you asked.
a humorus book about a dog, but as usual the publishers wouldn't accept it. ------------------------------------------------------- it seems to me that humorous books can be read without a laugh by the serious minded with little sense of humor. One dog book I read -- by Jacqueline Suzanne before she became famous for Valley of Dolls -- was the story of her life with her mini French Poodle ... my husband and I were falling off the chair laughing... "Every Night Josephine." It helped that we had a mini French Poodle, Miss Merry Mod, Mod for short. However a lady I know missed it completely. Anyone else read it? wow
I don't know if it's real or not,but in Savoy Truffle(Harrison)they use the word "montelimat",and no one has been able to tell me what it means.I think its a kind of dessert.....
Creme tangerine and montelimat A ginger sling with a pineapple heart A coffee dessert--yes you know it's good news But you'll have to have them all pulled out After the Savoy truffle.
Sure does sound like something to eat. Back to Internet to find out more.
P. S. Dozens of sites, all with the same line and nothing more. Over to some other eager beaver.
