There's this cartoon on cable tv called "Powerpuff Girls," and the arch villain character is this evil genius monkey-creature named Mojo Jojo. He has this funny trait of repeating himself by rephrasing things over and over again, and he has this quasi-Japanese accent that is sort of guttural and clipped, which makes it sound really funny too.

For example, he might say "You are powerless to resist me! I am in complete control! Your opposition is pointless in the light of my reign! I overwhelm you with my might! I RULE over over you!..." etc. You know what the device is but it's funny to discover what sort of permutations on the theme the writers have concocted, and of course they come at you really fast which makes it funnier. It reminds me a little of some of the writing that Monty Python did where they used a thesaurus for inspiration. Anybody else out there like this show?

i am painfully familiar with MojoJojo. i can also tell you that it takes a roll of not one but *two* hearts in order to slay this particular villain in the powerpuff girl game (ditto for Sedusa and the Rowdy Boys).

i obtained this pertinent knowledge the hard way.... i'm forced to play it not once but *twice* a day with my 4-yr-old daughter, who happens to be begging for it as we speak... *sigh*.
