Annastrophic asked:
The buck stops here !?
Didn't sjmaxq's "Yes" end it?
It was hard not to, don't you think?
Lasciate ogni esperanza, voi ch'entrate.
And is this the phantom 100th post that will be seen nevermore?
Sorry, Hev, it was a toss-up between Dante's words and the Eagles', I went with Dante.
And where is the question in your Dante/Eagles post, good sir?
There isn't one, that was the point. These question threads seem to be like the Hotel California, no?
Can I safely say then that this is THE END?
On the other hand, I think I'll just say (safely) that this is THE END.
dxb do you really feel that that is a legitimate question?
Is it not an expression of general bemusement with life, the universe and everything? the ultimate question in fact, with acknowledgement to the late and much lamented Douglas Adams
>The ultimate question, ala DNA?
whatdoyougetifyoumultiplysixbynine? This stuff I know
whatdoyougetifyoumultiplysixbynine? forty-two[base 13] here we go again..
No, tsuwm, you miscomprehendify me. I know bugger-all about bugger-all, but The Guide I do know. So, I simply posted to correct an incorrect statement. The question I posted is the only one mentioned in the context of The Answer in any of the Guide series. The whole point of that series after all is that, to quote Prak:
"I'm afraid," he said at last, "that the Question and the Answer
are mutually exclusive. Knowledge of one logically precludes knowledge of the other.
It is impossible that both can ever be known about the same universe."
Oh, so it was I who miscomprehendificated you. Sorry.
that's just fine--we've managed to squeeze in 5 in-a-row now. ; )
How and why was the question mark created and coined as the punctuation mark for a question(?)...?
--Mysterian and the Question Marks
Who are we?
Why are we here?
Where do we go?
Are we there yet?
